| → | →Beretta PX4 Storm- Is it any good? | | 2007-04-07 13:25:19 | | I've been looking around in stores and online and I keep coming across the Beretta PX4 Storm. I was wondering if anyone had any information on whether or not it's worth buying and if there's a reason it's not as popular as guns such as the p226, m9, Glock, ect., other then the fact that it's a relatively new gun. Most of all though, any responses concerning personal experiance with this pistol will be greatly appreciated. | | Answered By: M R S | |
| | Its a medium range handgun. I wouldnt put it up aginst Glocks or HK's but I wouldnt call it a Ruger Auto either. Here are some review pages that you may want to read.

It gets pretty good reviews however like I said its not top of the line. Over priced is what I would say its worst problem is. I hope this helps.

| → | →When is the Beretta Px4 subcompact handgun and the Rx4 storm semiauto rifle going to be available? | | 2007-04-08 14:33:58 | | I saw these on the Beretta website, but can't tell if they're for sale anywhere. Another website said that production started on these back in 2004? | | Answered By: Ohari1 | |
| | Both the Px4 pistol and the Cx4 Carbine are available now through any Beretta dealer. I've fondled them both at my Friendly Local Gun Shop in the last three months.
Have fun, shoot safe!
< EDIT > Wow, I apologize, I hadn't even heard of the Rx4 Rifle system, but now (after a quick look at Beretta's website and a call to my dealer, who only closes for Mothers' Day), it's pending with no firm release date that we can find. The Subcompact Px4 should be available now, though, through any Beretta dealer.
| → | →beretta px4 storm 9mm or springfield xd 9mm? | | 2008-03-28 06:34:00 | | i've narrowed the choice down to these 2 and it's hard to choose. i'm a huge beretta fan (i own a 92fs) and know the put out a good product. the xd has much more accessories, and more safety features, but i just cant keep my eyes off the storm. if anyone owns either of these pistols, your opinions would be great. so, which one is the better choice and why? thanks :) | | Answered By: bobbo342 | |
| | I like both firearms. I bought a Px4 Storm in 9mm back in 05. It was a nice gun. After a while I kind of started to dislike the trigger pull in the Storm. Other wise the Storm is an great handgun. I also currently own 2 XDs. One in 9mm and another in .45acp. I like them much better than the Storm. The trigger pull is constant. I also like having the grip safety, loaded chamber indicator, striker indicator.
I do think the XD is an overall better fit to my hand and I would choose them over anything else in protecting my family and home.
On a side note, I traded my Storm for a 9mm Ruger SR9 just last year. Very wise trade after shooting the Ruger.
What it will come down to is what feels best in your hand, which gun do you think functions better. I know you will have an easier time finding a holster for the XD.
| → | →Springfield XD Subcompact vs. Beretta PX4 Storm? | | 2008-04-13 21:17:08 | | I'm a young female college student looking to buy my first gun. I don't have much experience with shooting (I've shot a Beretta, a Glock, and a S&W .40), but, after going to the store and holding both the Beretta Storm and XD subcompact, I've decided that these two guns fit my hand the best. I am planning on getting a concealed carry license also, so size plays a factor as well as how they shoot. I have not had a chance to shoot either, so if anyone has had the chance to shoot both of these guns, could you please give me your recommendation and reasons as to why. | | Answered By: randy | |
| | I've fired and handled both extensively. I have a poor opinion of beretta from both personal experiences, customers experiences and law enforcement and military experience. I do really like the XD compact. In fact, I like it so much that I put it thru extensive testing, and it passed with flying colors. My wife now carries it as her CCW weapon of choice. Believe me, I would not allow her to carry it if I did not have complete faith in it.
Hope that helps. | |
| → | →Springfield XD, Smith And Wesson M&P, or Beretta Px4, ? | | 2007-09-17 00:02:41 | | If you want accuracy, and reliability?
It will be used for target practice, and i want it to last and not have problems with feeding.....
should i just go with what i like, because i am in love with the M&P and its looks....The XD because of its reliabilty...and the Px4 because of looks...
im leaning towards M&P anyone got some opinions? | | Answered By: simple kinda man
| | I work at a shooting range and I can tell you that we have had problems with all of the firearms you mentioned. We have also had problems with H&Ks. The only handguns we have not had problems with are Glocks and Sigs. We had a Glock 17 at the range that had 750, 000 rounds through it (est) that never went down once. We have also had a Sig P226 9mm and 2 Sig P229 .40 S&Ws that have only been down because the recoil springs were not replaced on time. Those would be my recommendations if you are serious about buying something that will last. However these are rangeguns that I am speaking of so if you are planning on just shooting a few times a month then buy what is most comfortable for you and what you shoot the best. | |
